Poem: Symbiosis of Sun and Fool

Painting by Ella Corder.

Symbiosis of Sun and Fool

Fool cries Sun.

Sun blinds Fool.

Sun, laughs Fool.

Hands reach Sun.

Sun smites Fool.

Fool drinks tears.

Sun slinks south.

Fool’s footfall

fears Death’s teeth.

Sun-drowned fool,

Sun slaps dirt,

laughs at worms.
